“Slime Across America” is coming, and it’s got nothing to do with the upcoming presidential elections. Nickelodeon is sending an 18-wheel Slime-Mobile to 20 cities beginning Feb. 26 to get youngsters ready for the network’s 20th annual “Kids Choice Awards” on March 31. After that, the Slime-Mobile will plop into another 30 markets.
At each stop, kids will be able to play games and create content that could air on me:tv, the network’s new interactive programming block.
They’ll also have a chance to get doused with green goo. Some of those slimings will be broadcast on me:tv and highlights from the Slime-Mobile’s first stop will be featured as part of TeenNick on March 11.
“Nickelodeon has a long and storied history with slime,” said Pam Kaufman, executive VP of Nickelodeon marketing and worldwide partnerships. “What better way to reconnect America with the green goo and celebrate the 20th anniversary of the ‘Kids Choice Awards’ than by painting the country with slime all year long?”
