Scripps Networks signed a distribution agreement putting its channels on AT&T U-verse.

The agreement covers HGTV, Food Network, DIY Network, Fine Living and Great American Country channels, as well as HGTV and Food Network in high definition.

Video on demand programming from Scripps will be featured in the U-verse VOD library each month. AT&T U-verse is the telephone giant’s service that challenges cable operators by offering TV programming and other digital services via interactive Internet protocol over fiber optic wire.

“AT&T is proud to offer an array of lifestyle and entertainment channels to fit each customer’s personalized interests,” Rob Thun, senior VP of programming for AT&T Operations, said in a statement Monday. “Scripps Networks provides compelling and valuable content that will connect with AT&T U-verse customers.”
