NBC is betting on a fifth season of “Las Vegas.”

Although the series recently hit a season ratings low, the network has renewed the veteran drama for a fifth season.

The show averages a 2.8 rating among adults 18 to 49 in its Fridays at 9 p.m. slot. During the past two weeks, however, the show set and then tied a season-low 2.5.

In recent weeks, NBC has placed second for the night on Fridays, behind CBS.

“The cast and producers have consistently given us what we want from ‘Las Vegas”-pure entertainment-and we’re looking forward to another fun ride next season with the show,” said Kevin Reilly, President, NBC Entertainment.

“Vegas” is executive produced by Gary Scott Thompson, Gardner Stern, Justin Falvey, Darryl Frank, Matt Pyken and Kim Newton for NBC Universal Television Studio and DreamWorks Television.
