After NBC’s “Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip” posted a season-low ratings performance Monday, the network pulled the show off the schedule a week earlier than planned, making room for “The Black Donnellys.”

“Donnellys,” a crime drama, was originally slated to premiere March 5, taking the “Studio” slot. “Studio” posted a 2.8 rating among adults 18 to 49 Monday night, the latest stumble for the Aaron Sorkin series.

NBC said the remaining “Studio” episodes will air at a later date. “Studio” was always slated to leave the schedule to make room for “Donnellys,” but NBC’s change in schedule following Monday’s performance may signal that the likelihood of a cancellation is increasing.
