Newly paired partners Gail Berman and Lloyd Braun have signed a three-year, first-look development deal with NBC Universal Television.

The deal allows BermanBraun to create a wide spectrum of content — scripted, unscripted, primetime, daytime, cable and syndication, with a first-look to all NBC Universal Television entities including NBC, USA, Sci Fi, Telemundo and Bravo.

“Not only do Lloyd and Gail have phenomenal track records developing shows like ‘Lost,’ ‘American Idol,’ ‘Grey’s Anatomy,’ ‘House’ and ‘Desperate Housewives,’ but they are both experienced broadcast network programmers who understand what it takes to develop great content,” said Marc Graboff, President, NBC Universal Television, West Coast. “With their great taste and their valuable experience, we are thrilled that they have chosen NBC Universal as their television home.”

Ms. Berman is the former president of Paramount Pictures, Mr. Braun – who most recently was head of Yahoo’s media group — has served as chairman of ABC Entertainment Television Group. In January they announced the formation of BermanBraun, a company modeled after boutiques such as Carsey-Werner and Brillstein-Grey Entertainment.
