Fox Wins Sunday Night

With ABC’s Sunday night dramas in repeats, an uneventful evening gave Fox a ratings victory.

Boosted by a NASCAR overrun, Fox led the field with its comedy block, while CBS’s procedurals gave very strong performances.

On Fox, the NASCAR overrun pushed the start of “The Simpsons” to 8:06 p.m., staggering the lineup and making the preliminary ratings less certain than usual. “Simpsons” earned a 4.2, followed by the second week of “The Winner” (3.4, down slightly from its 3.5 premiere), then “Family Guy” (4.1) and another “Winner” (2.9, down from 3.1 last week).

On CBS, “Amazing Race: All Stars” was average (3.3), followed by the second-best performances of the season for “Cold Case” (4.1) and “Without a Trace” (4.3).

In third place, ABC had an original “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” (4.8) followed by repeats.

NBC’s “Grease: You’re the One That I Want” had a 1.8, “Deal or No Deal” a 3.7, and “The Apprentice” a 2.9.

The CW aired repeats.
