Lifetime has ordered 13 episodes of a new series, “Side Order of Life,” which is scheduled to air this summer.

The show is the new third scripted summer series ordered by Susanne Daniels, president of entertainment at Lifetime Entertainment Services, who has been trying to appeal to a younger, hipper female audience.

Lifetime’s other new shows are “Army Wives,” which will premiere in June and “State of Mind,” debuting in July.

“Side Order of Life” stars Marisa Coughlan, Jason Priestley, Christopher Gartin and Diana-Maria Riva. The show is produced by the Jinks/Cohen Company in association with Warner Horizon Television for Lifetime Television. It was created by Margaret Nagel, who serves as co-executive producer.

The program is about a photographer who has a wakeup call that causes her to reevaluate her relationships with the people around her.

We’re ecstatic to have this fresh and relevant show on Lifetime that declares ‘make every day of your life count,'” Ms. Daniels said in a statement Tuesday.
