Preparing for the Holidays

Maybe it’s just me, but doesn’t it seem too early to start talking about Christmas programming?
Lifetime is filming a made-for-TV movie in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, with the working title of “Christmas Miracle.” It is scheduled to premiere on the channel in December, obviously.
The movie stars Dylan Walsh, best known for playing the family-oriented doctor on “Nip/Tuck.” Mr. Walsh’s co-star is Jami Gertz.
“Christmas Miracle” is based on the true story of an Idaho couple who accidentally got trapped in a blizzard during a snowmobiling trip just before Christmas. The estranged husband makes a surprise visit to his wife, who has been raising their two daughters. He persuades them to go snowmobiling and a storm hits. Instead of fighting, the couple must work together and hope for the titular miracle that saves their lives and reunites the family.
“Christmas Miracle” is produced by Nomadic Pictures for Lifetime Television. Chad Oakes, Mike Frislev and Greg Goodell produce. Mr. Goodell also wrote and is directing the movie.
