TelevisionWeek is trawling video-sharing Web sites to find the hottest clips spreading on the Internet.
The Setup: Having trouble cleaning those hard-to-reach spots in the shower? Like, say, your back? Then consider soaping up that old keyboard that’s been collecting dust and using it as a back scrubber. Or, better yet, donate those old computer parts to a worthy cause.
The Source: That’s the message in this viral video, the latest in a series of humorous videos on what to do with old computer equipment: weight-lifting, pillow-fighting, perfecting your golf swing. A group calling itself Friends of Alive in Baghdad produces the short videos and posts them on Veoh, MySpace, YouTube, Blip, Revver and other sites. Alive in Baghdad seeks donations of computers, digital video cameras and other equipment to support its weekly video blog that “shows the occupation through the voices of the Iraqis,” according to its Web site.
The Hits: The shower-with-your-keyboard video has generated more than 700,000 views on MySpace.
