The two-hour premiere of Fox’s action-drama “Drive” was stuck in the slow lane Sunday night, putting Fox in third place.

With a couple of repeat episodes of “The Simpsons” as lead-in, “Drive” averaged a 2.6 rating among adults 18 to 49, according to preliminary Nielsens.

ABC was first with a repeat of “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,” followed by a slightly below-average “Desperate Housewives” (6.2) and an on-par “Brothers and Sisters” (4.5).

CBS was second in the demo but first in total viewers, with “The Amazing Race 11” (2.9), “Cold Case” (3.0) and “Without a Trace” (3.5) all scoring less-than-average ratings in 18-49.

NBC was fourth with a two-hour “Dateline” (1.6), a repeat “Deal or No Deal” and “The Apprentice” (2.5).

The CW had repeats along with an original “Seventh Heaven” (1.0).
