King Named IRTS Gold Medal Recipient

CBS Television Distribution CEO Roger King has been awarded The International Radio and Television Society Foundation 2007 Gold Medal Award to Roger King. The presentation dinner will be held at a black-tie gala on May 10th at New York City’s Waldorf-Astoria.

“IRTS looks forward to saluting the profound impact Roger King has had on the television industry,” said IRTS President and CEO Joyce Tudryn. “Long known for his Midas touch in creating and selling successful, ground-breaking syndicated programs, he is the quintessential recipient for our IRTS Gold Medal Award.”

Mr. King will join previous IRTS Gold Medal recipients which include: Lucille Ball, Frank A. Bennack, Jr., Walter Cronkite, Michael Eisner, Leonard B. Goldenson, Bob Hope, Mel Karmazin, Leslie Moonves, Rupert Murdoch, Tom Murphy, General David Sarnoff, Ted Turner, Oprah Winfrey, Bob Wright, Sumner Redstone and Jeff Zucker.
