Joan Rivers, once the queen of Hollywood’s red carpets, is being dropped by TV Guide Channel and replaced with Lisa Rinna.

Ms. Rivers and her daughter Melissa moved to TV Guide Channel from E! Entertainment in 2005.

“TV Guide Channel is very appreciative of Joan and Melissa Rivers’ contributions to the success of our Red Carpet programming over the past three years,” said Ryan O’Hara, president of TV Guide Channel. “We wish them the best in their future endeavors.”

Ms. Rinna will make her Red Carpet hosting debut for TV Guide Channel at the Emmy Awards on September 16.

Ms. Rinna will host five Red Carpet pre-shows per year for TV Guide Channel, as well as headline five fashion recap shows connected to those events. TV Guide Channel telecasts live Red Carpet pre-shows at the Academy Awards, Emmy Awards, Grammy Awards, Golden Globe Awards and Screen Actor’s Guild Awards.

“Lisa has the perfect mix of charisma, poise and experience to lead our live Red Carpet coverage at the major industry award shows,” Mr. O’Hara said.

Ms. Rinna is an actress who has appeared in soap operas and the series “Veronica Mars” was the host of SoapNet’s “Soap Talk.”
