WB Worldwide TV Promotes Golihew to VP Publicity

Warner Bros. Worldwide Television Marketing has promoted Tammy Golihew to the position of vice president of publicity for the company.

In the newly created position, Ms. Golihew will serve as second-in-command for the Worldwide Television Publicity unit, and provide business communications counsel to the Warner Bros. Television Group (WBTVG) and its executives, as well as its five production divisions: Warner Bros. Television, Warner Horizon Television, Telepictures Productions, Warner Bros. Animation and Studio 2.0.

Ms. Golihew will also spearhead publicity strategy for Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution, Warner Bros. Domestic Cable Distribution and Warner Bros. International Television, and will serve as liaison to Warner Bros. Digital Distribution on publicity efforts related to the streaming and downloading of the Studio’s television properties.

“Tammy is a bright, energetic and strategic communications executive with an invaluably diverse background,” said Sharan Magnuson, senior VP of worldwide publicity at the company, to whom Ms. Golihew will report. “We are thrilled to be able to tap into her expertise and relationships with trade and consumer press, as well as her experience working in network, syndicated and cable television, and in the new media space.”

Previously, Ms. Golihew worked at BNC Public Relations, where she most recently served as vice president of entertainment and oversaw the agency’s television, home entertainment and entertainment business practice. Prior to BNC, Ms. Golihew served as director of media relations for Sony Pictures Television, overseeing publicity for a variety of broadcast, cable and first-run syndicated series.
