Comcast to Carry Fuel

Fox Cable Networks signed a deal for Comcast to carry the action-sports network Fuel TV on Comcast’s digital tier.
The deal means that Fuel, launched in July 2003, will be available to more than 50 million homes by year’s end.
“Comcast is a tremendous new partner for Fuel TV, and one that truly recognizes the enormous influence of digitally savvy teens and young adults who have embraced our network as a preferred entertainment destination,” said David Sternberg, executive VP of emerging networks for Fox Cable Networks and Fuel TV’s general manager.
Fuel also acquired the rights to the new comedy movie “Blackballed,” featuring Rob Corddry, which has previously been available only on video-on-demand. It will appear on Fuel during the summer.
Fuel also plans to launch a new docu-series “The 808” in July. The show looks at a group of surfers on Hawaii’s North Shore who call themselves the Wolfpak.
