Exclusive Podcast: ‘Entourage’ Creator on HBO’s Albrecht

May 14, 2007  •  Post A Comment

In this week’s exclusive Backlot talk podcast, “Entourage” creator and executive producer Doug Ellin comments on Chris Albrecht leaving HBO.
“I don’t know the facts of the situation,” Mr. Ellin said. “It’s a tragedy when one sad moment can turn one man’s life around on a dime. It’s sad and depressing to watch people throw him under the bus that quickly.”
Mr. Ellin also revealed that he wrote last night’s episode with the goal of getting Kevin Dillon an Emmy.
“There was one goal in mind: Showcase what Kevin Dillon can do, show his reality, his humanity,” said Mr. Ellin. “We consciously said if anybody is ever going to make somebody cry, this is the episode to do it.”
