The History Channel has renewed “Digging for the Truth” for a fourth season and has named two new hosts for the series.
Former Navy fighter pilot Hunter Ellis and adventurer Zay Harding will be taking over for Josh Bernstein, who left History to join the Discovery Channel.
“Moving forward with multiple hosts adds greater flexibility to the shooting schedule, allowing us to expand the number of episodes next season from 13 to 20,” said Nancy Dubuc, executive VP and general manager of the History Channel. “Leveraging the hosts’ unique talents and showcasing their distinctive personalities and expertise on each adventure will help forge an even greater connection with the existing and new ‘Digging for the Truth’ fan.”
Mr. Ellis has hosted History Channel series including “Man, Moment, Machine,” and “Tactical to Practical.”
Mr. Harding, a native of Hawaii, was a host of the British travel series “Globe Trekker,” where he took part in the most physically demanding expeditions.
