NHL Puts Content in Sling

The National Hockey League has partnered with Sling Media to let Sling users share live and recorded portions of NHL programming. Under the agreement, users will be able to share the content online.
NHL said it’s the first sports league to strike a deal with Sling.
“Having the most tech-savvy fans of all major professional sports, who also tend to be early adopters of new technology, makes offering NHL content through Clip+Sling a natural fit,” Keith Ritter, president of NHL Interactive CyberEnterprises, said in a statement.
Clip+Sling is an upcoming feature that will let Slingbox owners record and share portions of content. Consumers will need a SlingBox to create and share the clips, but the clips then will be accessible to anyone with an Internet connection.
