President Bush Nominates Tate to Full FCC Term

President Bush is nominating FCC commissioner Deborah Taylor Tate to a full five-year term on the commission.
Ms. Tate, an attorney and former Tennessee utility regulator and senior advisor to several Tennessee governors, has been on the commission since Jan. 3, 2006, but had been filling a partially expired term.
The new term will last through June 30, 2012.
On the FCC she has been especially active during her term in issues involving kids, among them obesity and the media issues. She also moved to see that composers and musicians were represented in FCC media ownership discussions.
