Yahoo’s Frank Joins CMT

Jay Frank has joined CMT as senior VP, music strategy, starting in August. He had been VP of music programming and label relations at Yahoo Music.
Mr. Frank’s position, based in Nashville, will have him overseeing CMT’s music and talent division, as well as CMT’s on-air and digital music media initiatives. He’ll report to Brian Philips, executive VP and general manager, CMT.
While at Yahoo, Mr. Frank was in charge of working with record labels and managers in directing artist promotion, securing music premieres from artists such as Madonna and Linkin Park for the Internet media company.
Mr. Frank’s career includes a stint at the Box Music Network as senior music director; and marketing and A&R for Ignition Records.
