With Kevin Reilly stepping in as entertainment president at Fox, Craig Erwich is stepping out.
Mr. Erwich held the No. 2 programming spot below Peter Liguori, who today Fox announced will take a chairman title while Mr. Reilly will become head of programming.
Mr. Erwich resigned from his position, sources said, because Mr. Reilly will essentially take his spot within the Fox pecking order.
Mr. Erwich has held his position since 2003 and renewed his contract last year. He is responsible for developing shows such as “24” and “House” and first joined the network in 1995.
Fox had no comment.
