Broadcast networks say the vast majority of shows that are recorded and watched on digital video recorders are popular broadcast shows. But Turner Broadcasting says many cable shows are “DVR-worthy” as well. The chart below shows how much additional delayed viewing shows got from DVR users within seven days of air. Turner compared viewing in May for broadcast shows, when originals were on, to June and July for cable, when cable networks air their original scripted shows. The top show was Sci Fi’s “Eureka.” |
