‘Daily Show’ Reports from Iraq

Aug 17, 2007  •  Post A Comment

Comedy Central’s fake news show, “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart,” next week will feature a series of actual reports from Iraq.
The reports will be delivered by “Daily Show” senior war correspondent Rob Riggle, who will really be in Iraq, and not standing in front of a special effects green screen as usual.
Comedy Central is calling the series “Operation Silent Thunder.”
While in Iraq, Mr. Riggle also entertained the troops as part of a USO comedy tour with Horatio Sanz, Rob Huebel and Paul Scheer. Mr. Riggle is a major in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve and served in Liberia, Kosovo and Afghanistan.

  1. A Short Trillion Dollar Story
    that Could Change The World
    1. One third trillion dollars to build the most fantastic counter terrorism power on earth. At this point there would be no place for Osama to hide and almost every nation would be excited about participating. After all, this goes in the
vital interest of every civilized nation.
    2. Another one third trillion dollars to completely solve the health crisis in America.
    3. A last one third trillion dollars to help America become A MOST EDUCATED NATION IN THE WORLD.
The 1., 2., and 3. quantities above are today adding up a trillion dollar investment in an endless, horrific, and fruitless experiment for the vast majority of the children in the Middle East, America and the world.
May God decide to bless America for its future ten-year Trillion Dollar Story.

  2. Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert have been producing fake news programs that have done more than any of the network news programs to inform people about what’s really going on in this country and abroad. Now that they’re sending a genuine ex-Marine major to report in reality from Iraq, we can expect an honest appraisal of this obscene, unnecessary, and certainly unfunny war.Sincerely, Alan Leventhal
