HD programming picks for Aug 30-Sept. 5: “X-Men: The Last Stand,” “Idiocracy,” “Entourage”
“X-Men: “The Last Stand” (HBO HD). Saturday, Sept. 1, 8 p.m.: A full-scale war ensues after an antibody that can turn mutants into humans is discovered in the third installment of the X-Men saga, premiering in HD.
“Idiocracy” (Cinemax HD). Saturday, Sept. 1, 10 p.m.: In this comedy, airing in HD, two average citizens are frozen for an experiment and awake 500 years later to find the world populated with idiots.
“Entourage” (HBO HD) Sunday, Sept. 2, 10 p.m.: The boys try to sell “Medellin” at Cannes and Johnny Drama gets some attention thanks to the overseas popularity of “Viking Quest” in the fourth-season finale.
