Richard Price has been named Internet general manager at TelevisionWeek.
Mr. Price comes to his new position after four years as circulation director for seven Crain Communications publications, including TVWeek.
“Richard, with his business and circulation backgrounds, is the ideal person to lead the business efforts of our online products,” said TelevisionWeek publisher Chuck Ross. “He’ll work closely with National Sales Director Larry Oliver and our sales team to demonstrate to marketers how beneficial our Web products can be for them. With TVweek.com we have the most robust Web site in the TV business. Our traffic is up over 100% compared to last year. Combined with our other online products, they represent huge opportunities for advertisers to reach our unique audience.”
As online general manager, Mr. Price will oversee sales, business strategy and audience development for the growing suite of Web publications TVWeek generates, including Web sites, e-mail newsletters and online events.
Before joining Crain, Mr. Price was group publisher for Black Belt magazine and helped several publications build their circulation.
“I’m excited to be working with the talented group of publishing professionals on the TVWeek team,” Mr. Price said. “I look forward to growing our current online offerings and launching new products in a rapidly evolving journalism environment.”
Mr. Price will be based in TelevisionWeek’s New York offices. He can be reached at (212) 210-0286 or rprice@tvweek.com.
