Out of this year’s rookie syndication pack, NBC Universal’s “The Steve Wilkos Show” has taken first place in the ratings for its first full week, ending Sept. 16, with a 0.9.
“Wilkos” was one of a handful of first-run syndication premieres for the week ending Sept. 16, along with Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution’s “TMZ,” Program Partners’ “Merv Griffin’s Crosswords,” Sony Pictures Television’s “Judge David Young,” Twentieth Television’s “Temptation” and the national syndication premiere of “The Morning Show With Mike and Juliet.”
“TMZ” and “Temptation’s” weekly numbers weren’t available from Nielsen, but “TMZ” held first place among rookies during its debut on Monday, Sept. 10, with a 2.0 in 55 metered markets.
“Young,” “Crosswords” and “Mike and Juliet” tied with a 0.8 for the week.
As for the off-network premieres, “Family Guy” took in a 3.5 average for the week. The other off-net syndication newcomers, Warner Bros’ “Two and a Half Men,” and “George Lopez,” did not have weekly numbers readily available.
As for the returning crowd of first-run syndication, stalwarts “Oprah,” “Dr. Phil” and “Live With Regis and Kelly” led the week with a 5.8, 4.5 and 3.2, respectively.
