CNBC has hired Dennis Kneale, the Forbes magazine managing editor who has been a familiar face to Fox News Channel’s weekend business audience for several years, as media and technology editor.
Mr. Kneale will report throughout CNBC’s 5 a.m.-7 p.m. Business Day lineup beginning Monday, the day Fox Business Network launches.
He joined Forbes in 1998 after 16 years at the Wall Street Journal to expand the magazine’s tech, media and health coverage.
“Dennis has 25 years of experience in media and technology. He’s one of the best-connected journalists in the business,” said CNBC Business News Senior VP Jonathan Wald. “The convergence of media and technology is becoming one of the major business stories, and Dennis is the perfect person to lead our coverage. His addition to the business news team will have an immediate impact.”
