Lifetime Networks hired MTV’s Mike Greco as executive VP of research.
Mr. Greco replaces industry fixture Tim Brooks, who had announced plans to retire at the end of the year.
At MTV, Mr. Greco had been senior VP of research since 2004, overseeing primary and secondary research for MTV’s on- air, online, broadband, VOD and wireless platforms.
Based in New York, Mr. Greco will be responsible for all research concerning Lifetime Television, Lifetime Movie Network and Lifetime Real Women programming, as well as Lifetime Digital, advertising and affiliate sales.
“Mike’s strong experience, strategic abilities and creative thinking have earned him the reputation as one of the industry’s outstanding research executives,” Lifetime President-CEO Andrea Wong said. “These broad-based skills will be a perfect fit as we redefine and expand the role of research to increase brand growth across all our platforms.”
The appointment comes as Ms. Wong remakes the top executive ranks at Lifetime. She’s already named new top marketing execs and must hire a new head of sales to replace Lynn Picard, who left the network earlier this year.
