The most powerful woman in entertainment joined forces today with the world’s biggest video site. Oprah Winfrey’s Harpo Productions partnered with Google-owned YouTube to launch the Oprah channel on the video-sharing site.
The Oprah channel features exclusive, behind-the-scenes footage from the “Oprah cam,” Harpo Studios’ green room, backstage highlights and special guest moments, the companies said in a release.
Ms. Winfrey also will be a guest editor for the YouTube community. The site will feature some of her favorite videos on the homepage starting Nov. 5-6.
The Oprah channel can be found at www.youtube.com/oprah.
The first video is available at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WVssEHODO5M.
YouTube founders Chad Hurley and Steve Chen will appear on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” on Nov. 6.
