Hersh to Leave Court TV

Ed Hersh, executive VP of current programming and specials at Court TV, plans to leave the network later this month, before the network changes to its new name TruTV in January.
In an e-mail to colleagues, Mr. Hersh said he plans to look for ways to tell stories in the new media environment.
“The last year has been a time of incredible transition as we’ve moved to new ownership, new programming (along with new ratings records!) and soon, a new brand, and I’m proud to have been part of it all. But as we approach that exciting day, it also seems like the right time for me to make a transition of my own: to leave Court TV after seven very successful and rewarding years,” he said.
Mr. Hersh said he planned to work with the network’s management to ensure “that the transition is seamless and that we are well-positioned for the important January launch of TruTV.”
