New-media production shop ON Networks raised $12 million in a second round of funding, the company announced today.
Accel Partners led the funding round, which included contributions from existing investors Austin Ventures and AT&T. ON Networks said it will use the money to fund new shows and the development of its virtual-studio technology, as well as to back strategic partnerships with distributors and technology firms.
ON Networks raised $4 million in its first round of funding in November 2006.
ON Networks produces shows for the Internet, mobile forms and other digital viewing venues.
ON Networks also said it’s launching a new show on green living at www.mainstreamgreen.tv. The show will cover eco-friendly building practices and sustainable living alternatives.
