Marc Juris has been named executive VP and general manager of Court TV, which becomes truTV on January 1.
Mr. Juris has served as general manager of Court TV Networks since November 2004, before the network was acquired by Time Warner and made a part of its Turner Broadcasting unit.
As the channel’s top executive, Mr. Juris will oversee all day-to-day operations and strategic planning, including a major rebranding initiative that will result in Court TV becoming truTV.
“As the January launch of truTV approaches, I can think of no person more qualified to lead the newly transformed network than Marc,” said Steve Koonin, president of Turner Entertainment Networks. “His outstanding leadership and accomplishments have not only had a tremendously positive impact on the network but also made the industry stand up and take notice. I anticipate an extremely successful future for truTV with this talented and innovative executive at the helm.”
