After a three-year hiatus, Promark Television President David Levine is back in the saddle with the television distributor and is getting down to business.
“The new Promark TV business model will reflect the changing landscape of the television industry. It will focus on cash deals and target efforts to station groups only,” Mr. Levine said, adding that the company is now focusing on acquiring new product including made-for-TV movies, reality TV series and TV specials. The company will also represent its product in the international market and broadband.
The first project to be launched will be a series based on the World Championships of the Performing Arts, called “Worldstars,” which was taped last month at the Bonaventure Hotel. Promark will team up with TriStar Media International in this first sales effort.
The “Worldstars” producers are celebrating the second decade of this annual spectacular “Olympic”-style presentation of outstanding world talent in the categories of song, dance, acting, modeling, instrumental and variety as the only world event for aspiring performing artists.
“We are pleased to be associated with Promark TV and we are proud that Promark selected our product as it relaunches itself,” said TriStar President Terry Kollman.
