Disney-ABC Television Group Makes Two Exec Announcements

Ann Lewis Roberts has been named senior VP, heading development for Walt Disney Co.’s Buena Vista Productions and its SoapNet cable channel.
At SoapNet, which has become part of Disney-ABC Television Group’s daytime division, Ms. Roberts will develop and oversee all non-scripted programming.
In addition, Adam Rockmore was named senior VP of marketing for ABC Daytime and SoapNet. Mr. Rockmore, is returning to the TV business after a stint as VP for marketing and retail for Calphalon. Previously he was senior VP of marketing and interactive commerce for Scripps Networks.
Ms. Roberts, who had been VP for development at Buena Vista, will oversee existing Buena Vista programming, including “Who Wants to Be A Millionaire?,” “At the Movies with Ebert and Roeper,” SoapNet’s “The Fashionista Diaries” and GSN’s “Camouflage.”
“The positions were structured to create greater strength and synergy across ABC Daytime, SoapNet and Buena Vista Productions,” said Brian Frons, president for daytime at the Disney-ABC Television Group. “Ann and Adam will oversee initiatives that will be utilized across the entire television group.”
