Twentieth Television has renewed “The Morning Show With Mike and Juliet” for a second go-round, clearing all of the top 15 markets, including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and Philadelphia, for the 2008-09 season.
The rookie series, which is averaging a 0.9 rating this season but has trended upwards in recent weeks including a 1.2 in December, scored renewals that include WNYW-TV in New York, KTTV-TV in Los Angeles and WFLD-TV in Chicago.
“The decision to renew was a simple one, as ‘The Morning Show With Mike and Juliet’ continues to ride a wave of momentum, offering viewers fresh voices in the morning show arena,” said Bob Cook, president-chief operating officer of Twentieth Television. “Since its national rollout in September, daytime audiences have responded to the hosts’ vibrant chemistry and the program’s compelling topics.”
The program is broadcast live Monday through Friday from the Fox studios in New York.
