Veteran news executive Joe Peyronnin has joined Gibraltar Associates as senior adviser for global communications and new media.
He will be based in New York City, where he most recently was full-time corporate adviser to VFinity, a company that specializes in digital content management software.
Gibraltar specializes in reputation management, communications, public affairs and business development for public companies and private interests. Mr. Peyronnin will focus on designing new-media strategies.
After 25 years with CBS News, where he rose high in the executive ranks, Mr. Peyronnin was president of Fox News in 1995-96. From 1999 to 2006, he ran Telemundo’s news operation.
“Gibraltar Associates is dedicated to providing boutique-level service and world-class expertise, and Mr. Peyronnin’s one-of-a-kind background affirms our commitment to that mission,” Gibraltar Associates CEO Eric Bovim said in Wednesday’s announcement.
“Digital media and the Internet have fundamentally changed the way companies can effectively communicate their messages,” Mr. Peyronnin said. “The ability to directly and quickly target audiences calls for an agile, multiplatform approach.”
