It’s Upfront as Usual for Univision

Univision said it plans to hold its annual upfront presentation on May 14 at Lincoln Center, joining the English-language broadcast networks that last week said they plan to meet with advertisers as usual following the end of the Writers Guild of America strike.
Some ad buyers and network executives thought the strike would change the upfront ad buying season, including how and when the lavish schedule presentations are conducted.
But last week it appeared to be close to business as usual, although with fewer pilot episodes to show, the events probably will be lighter on show and heavier on business.
In its announcement Tuesday, Univision said details about its upfront event will be made available in the coming weeks.
NBC, which has been most vocal about making changes to its upfront presentation, might announce details of its plans this week.
