Lewis Joins MediaCom as Chief Strategy Officer

MediaCom U.S. has hired Margaret Lewis as chief strategy officer.
Ms. Lewis, who had been executive VP and U.S. director of communications planning for Universal McCann, will be responsible for aligning the agency’s insight and analytics capabilities with the media buying agency’s broader communications and media planning resources to produce more consumer-centric strategies.
“Today, innovative, integrated, insights-driven communications planning is the lifeblood of a great media agency. So when it came time to expand our leadership in this area, we turned to the best,” said Barbara Cipolla, president of MediaCom U.S., to whom Ms. Lewis will report. “Having worked with Margaret in the past, I know that she has unparalleled knowledge of what it takes to build a great communications planning practice.”
