Logo Ups Sherman to Exec VP-General Manager

Lisa Sherman has been promoted to executive VP and general manager of Logo. She had been senior VP and general manager of the channel.
“Lisa is that rare individual who, as a leader, shows everyone what is possible, balancing Logo’s daring vision with the hard management sense required to achieve lift-off,” said Brian Graden, president of MTV Networks Music Group Entertainment and president of Logo.
Working with Mr. Graden, Ms. Sherman helped to develop Logo’s slate of original and acquired programming aimed at the channel’s lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered audience.
Since launch in 2005, Logo’s cable and satellite subscribers more than doubled to 30 million, putting Logo in homes in the top 25 markets.
In addition, Logo developed partnerships with digital distributors, making Logo the first and only LGBT content provider on platforms such as iTunes, Amazon Unbox, Xbox, Wal-Mart. It also partnered with the nation’s top wireless providers.
Before joining Logo, Ms. Sherman was senior VP and group account director at the New York office of Hill Holliday Connors Cosmopulos, part of the Interpublic Group of Companies.
