Francois Martin has been appointed senior vice president of marketing for Dimension Films, effective immediately. A genre label of the Weinstein Co., Dimension’s slate includes the “Scream” movies and last year’s “Halloween” remake.
In the new position, Mr. Martin will lead marketing campaigns for Dimension Films, overseeing strategic marketing, media planning, media promotions and online marketing. He’ll be working to build partnerships with television outlets to find creative ways to market the Dimension slate, as well as dealing with ad placement.
Mr. Martin most recently was VP marketing for TWC, working on television, radio, outdoor media buying and online promotional campaigns for both TWC and Dimension Films. Before that, he was director of marketing and media at Miramax Films, where he worked for three years on TV campaigns and media buying.
