‘Puppy Bowl’ Barks Up Right Tree

Like the Super Bowl, Animal Planet’s “Puppy Bowl IV” pulled in record viewership.
The Puppy Bowl, which ran opposite the football game on Sunday, drew an average of 1.1 million viewers, up 35% from a year ago.
Among viewers 25 to 54, the program drew a 0.5 rating, the network’s highest over the past year.
“‘Puppy Bowl IV’ marked the unveiling of our new logo and just scratched the surface of the stellar programming we have in store for the network,” said Marjorie Kaplan, president and general manager for Animal Planet Media.
