Vinnie Malcolm Exits as KTLA VP/GM

Vinnie Malcolm has exited his post as VP/GM of Tribune-owned KTLA-TV in Los Angeles, just two weeks after Ed Wilson was named president of Tribune Broadcasting.His exit was confirmed by a station spokesperson.
John Vitanovec, the Tribune Broadcasting executive VP who has been vice president and general manager of Tribune’s WGN-TV in Chicago, will fill the top position at the ailing CW affiliate for the time being.
Mr. Malcolm joined KTLA in 1994 as regional sales manager and was named general manager in 2004 to succeed John Reardon when Mr. Reardon was promoted to president of Tribune’s broadcast operations. Mr. Reardon left Tribune when Mr.Wilson was hired earlier this month.

  1. And the heads just keep on rollin’! Word has it, Vinnie came in this morning to find Ed Wilson sitting in his chair. Vinnie wasn’t allowed to sit down; he was escorted out like a criminal by security. Subtle, Mr. Zell. Message received.
