Holloway Promoted to Head NBC Affiliate Relations

Douglas Holloway has been promoted to president of NBC network distribution partnerships and affiliate marketing.
The position is a slightly expanded one. As the executive overseeing NBC’s relations with its 223 local affiliates, Mr. Holloway succeeds John Damiano, who retired last year. Mr. Holloway also picks up oversight of the affiliate marketing group, with Senior VP of Affiliate Marketing and Development Scott Chastain reporting to him. A dotted line connects Mr. Chastain and NBC Universal Television Group Chief Marketing Officer John Miller.
Mr. Holloway will report to NBC TV Network and Media Works President John Eck.
“Doug’s proven track record of leadership, specifically in affiliate relations and marketing, make him an excellent fit for this position,” Mr. Eck said in Monday’s announcement. “His expertise will be invaluable in this role, as we continue to work closely with the affiliates, exploring new business partnerships and innovative ways to share content.”
Mr. Holloway had been president of cable investments for NBC Universal Cable since 2004. Prior to that, he had been president of network distribution and affiliate relations for Universal Television, where his responsibilities included distribution, affiliate marketing and affiliate relations for USA Network, Sci-Fi Channel, Trio and News World International.
Mr. Holloway began his career in cable as a regional affiliate sales representative for CBS Cable and served a stint as a strategitc planning analyst for the CBS Television Network.
He began his long run at USA Network in 1983 working his way up through a number of executive positions.
