NBC Names Hansen Senior VP, Alternative Series and Specials

NBC’s Libby Hansen has been promoted to senior vice president of alternative series and specials. She will be in charge of the Peacock network’s current slate of reality programming as well as developing future projects.
“Libby brings great passion, creativity and enthusiasm to her work and has demonstrated her spot-on instincts,” said Craig Plestis, executive VP of alternative programming, development and specials. “She has been an integral part of the ongoing success of some of NBC’s most successful alternative shows, including ‘The Biggest Loser’ and ‘Deal or No Deal.’”
Ms. Hansen most recently was VP of alternative series and specials for NBC and USA Network. She also has held manager and executive director positions in ABC’s alternative series and specials department. She began her career at Brillstein-Grey before joining Touchstone Television as director of development for Burrow Owl Productions.
