Rentrak, an information management company, has entered into a multiyear deal with Turner Broadcasting System and its affiliate channels, the companies announced today.
Rentrak’s On Demand Essentials service will provide metrics and analysis of on-demand viewing of Turner networks Adult Swim, Boomerang, Cartoon Network, CNN, TBS, TCM, TNT and TruTV.
Rentrak processes daily, census-level on-demand data, representing 45 million set-top boxes from 23 MSOs, for more than 90 television networks and studios.
“VOD represents a growth opportunity for Turner brands, and we are pleased to be able to share metrics on the power of our VOD content, as offered via our MSO partners, to our advertisers,” said Jack Wakshlag, Turner’s chief research officer, in a statement Wednesday.
