Online video studio ON Networks and the South by Southwest Interactive Conference selected Web comedy “The Guild” as the best original production at the inaugural Greenlight Awards competition.
The award, announced today, is designed to select the next big breakout digital series.
“The Guild” was selected from more than 200 entries in two categories, original production and original series idea.
“The Guild” is a sitcom that follows the lives of computer role-playing game addicts.
The original series idea trophy went to “Knock Off,” a show that helps viewers create their own versions of sought-after fashions.
The winners will receive a cash award and the opportunity to distribute their show with ON Networks, an online video production and distribution studio.
TelevisionWeek contributing writer Daisy Whitney was among the judges for the competition.
