Esposito Becomes RTNDA Chairman

The Radio-Television News Directors Association named a new chairman and announced the results of board elections at its annual conference at the NAB Show.
Taking on the chairmanship is Edward Esposito, vice president of information media at Akron, Ohio’s Rubber City Radio Group. He succeeds KYW-AM digital news director Bill Roswell in the post.
The RTDNA named KOMU-TV news director Stacey Woelfel as its chair-elect, Accuweather senior account executive Loren Tobia as treasurer and KGO-TV reporter David Louie and AP assistant managing editor Ed Tobias as directors-at-large.
In regional roles, it named Kathy Walker, news director at KOA-AM in Denver, to represent Regions 1 and 3; Randy Bell, news director at WMSI-FM/WQJQ-FM/WJDX-AM in Jackson, Miss., to rep Regions 8 and 9; and Andrew Vrees, news director at WMUR-TV in Manchester, N.H., to rep Region 10.
Kevin Benz, news director at News 8 in Austin, Texas, continues to represent Region 6.
The RTNDA officers are responsible for representing local and network news professionals in broadcasting, cable and other electronic media at their annual gathering. They also serve as trustees of the Radio-Television News Directors Foundation.
