Telemundo Communications Group has named Jacqueline Hernandez its chief operating officer. She will oversee domestic revenue and marketing, new media ventures, the group’s young Latino network mun2 and all research projects.
“[Ms. Hernandez’s] extensive knowledge of the Hispanic market, her experience in multimedia platforms and her outstanding reputation in the industry will be important contributions to our team and essential to our future growth in an increasingly diverse, competitive and changing environment,” Telemundo Communications Group President Don Browne said.
Ms. Hernandez most recently was publisher of People en Español, where she led the magazine to double-digit year-to-year growth since joining in March 2004. She also oversaw the relaunch of the magazine’s Web site, PeopleEnEspanol.com.
