John Matluck, senior VP for advertising sales, is leaving Lifetime Networks, which last month hired Debbie Richman from media agency OMD to head its sales organization.
Mr. Matluck, who has been with Lifetime for 20 years, had effectively been in charge of ad sales at the network—along with Rick Basso, senior VP, planning and pricing—since Lynn Picard left last year following the hiring of new CEO Andrea Wong.
“With Debbie now in place and ready to lead the department through upfront ’08 and beyond, it is time for me to move on,” Mr. Matluck said in a statement Tuesday. “I am looking forward to enjoying a few weeks of vacation with my family before embarking on my next career challenge.”
In a statement Lifetime said, “John has made great contributions to our company, helping to make Lifetime Networks extremely profitable and respected in the advertising community. With his leadership, we are poised for yet another upfront season.”
