Versus named Jamie Davis as president of the network, succeeding Gavin Harvey, who elected not to move with the network from Stamford, Conn., to parent Comcast’s headquarters in Philadelphia.
Mr. Davis was previously managing director of ESPN Star Sports, a joint venture in Asia between News Corp. and The Walt Disney Co.
Before ESPN Star Sports, Mr. Davis worked for News Corp. for 11 years and helped launch Fox Sports.
“Jamie is the ultimate sports programming professional with tremendous experience growing sports television brands across all platforms,” Jeff Shell, President of Comcast Programming Group, said in a statement.
