NBCU Ups Post, Adds Barrington in Ad Sales

NBC Universal promoted Shari Post to VP, prime-time ad sales, and confirmed that it hired Dave Barrington, who will be VP, daytime and late night, sales.
Ms. Post, who had been in charge of daytime and late-night sales, will continue to head sale efforts for “Green Is Universal,” NBC’s environmental initiative.
Mr. Barrington had been executive VP and managing director of video investments at agency MPG. He takes over Ms. Post’s former responsibilities.
Both executives report to Jim Hoffman, senior VP of network entertainment sales.
“Shari is a talented leader who has a great track record of success,” said Mr. Hoffman. “She has a tremendous understanding of our business and knows how to create value for our advertising partners.”
Mr. Hoffman touted Mr. Barrington’s experience on both the buying and selling sides of the TV business.
“He brings a unique perspective to his new role, and we’re thrilled to have him on the team,” he said.
